Holland, Michigan Schools Talk About Remote Learning

HOLLAND- Due to a rise in COVID-19 cases within the Holland Public Schools, administrators are preparing to possibly return to remote learning.

Several classrooms have been shut down due to the spread, and a portion of those students are already in remote learning. According to the school district, they have experienced an 83% increase in cases last weekend with a 105% increase among students.  The positivity rate is now at a pandemic high of 34.8%, while the threshold for being deemed “high transmission” is 8%.

The main reason the school district is considering remote learning is due to a possible shortage of teachers.
