JD Vance and Trump’s Plan to Restore America: A Nation on the Path to Greatness Again
BAY CITY, MI – Vice President JD Vance made it clear during his visit to Michigan on Friday: America is making a historic comeback under President Donald Trump. However, he warned that reversing the disastrous policies of the Biden administration won’t happen overnight. Speaking to a crowd at Vantage Plastics, Vance laid out the Trump administration’s bold plan to revive manufacturing, rebuild the economy, and put America First once again.
Fixing the Economic Disaster Left by Democrats
Biden and the Democrats left behind historic failures that have crushed hardworking Americans:
Rampant inflation driving up the cost of living
Soaring gas prices punishing middle-class families
Skyrocketing crime rates under soft-on-crime policies
Unprecedented illegal immigration overwhelming communities
The cost of eggs and groceries reaching record highs
Weak foreign policies leading to global instability and wars
“The American Dream felt like it was slipping away,” Vance told the audience. “Now, that is the bad news. But now we can talk about the good news—because, thanks to all of you, on Jan. 20, 2025, we started a Great American Comeback.”
Trump’s America-First Economic Revival
While Biden’s reckless spending and anti-business policies crippled U.S. manufacturing, Trump and Vance are turning the tide by ensuring American jobs stay in America. Vance defended Trump’s tariffs as a tool to protect U.S. workers and restore economic strength. “If you want to be rewarded, build in America. If you want to be penalized, build outside of America,” Vance said. The days of American jobs being shipped overseas are over.
Meanwhile, Michigan’s Democratic leaders like Gov. Gretchen Whitmer are panicking. After years of failing to bring jobs and economic growth to Michigan, she is now suddenly eager to align with Trump’s economic policies. “It’s kind of funny to see some of our Democratic governors coming to the Oval Office and begging for economic development under Trump’s leadership—something they never could get under Biden,” Vance said, prompting chuckles from the crowd.

Democrats’ Fear-Mongering Falls Flat
While Republicans focus on rebuilding America, Democrats continue their same tired fear-mongering tactics. Ron Bieber, president of the left-wing Michigan AFL-CIO, attacked Trump’s plan, claiming it would harm workers—a laughable statement given that Biden’s policies gutted U.S. manufacturing and sent jobs overseas.
Meanwhile, Michigan Democrats are still trying to defend Biden’s failed trade policies, falsely claiming that tariffs will hurt workers. But as state Sen. Roger Hauck, R-Mt. Pleasant, confidently stated, “Tariffs are working. Don’t listen to the media.”
America’s Future: Strong, Prosperous, and Free
